Hello friends and neighbors. I really hope everyone is keeping hydrated this summer.
I was recently in the Advent health ER for a cut to my hand. while I was talking to the nurses they said one injury they are seeing a lot of is pressure washing injuries. A few to the hands but mostly to the feet. If you are going to pressure wash on your own I recommend you read the following blog.
1. Injury From High Pressure: Those jets of water aren’t just tough on dirt – they can be strong enough to pierce skin and cause serious injuries. Always wear proper safety gear, including gloves, eye protection and boots. Open shoes or barefoot is not safe.
2. Flying Debris: The forceful spray can dislodge flying debris, which can strike you or others nearby.
3. Property Damage: High pressure can damage siding, windows, decks, and even soft plants. It’s important to use the right pressure washing tips for the job and be mindful of what you’re cleaning. Really with the right detergents you dont need anything stronger then a 45 degree tip (white)
